Dental Works · Sion East, Mumbai

Visiting Mumbai? Plan your dental care before you travel.

For NRI and overseas visitors, start with a conversation about your needs and dates. This is an enquiry pathway, not a treatment package or a confirmed booking.

One clinic. A named dentist.

Dental Works is in Sion East, Mumbai. Dr. Feril Mehta holds a BDS (2012), provides Invisalign treatment and is a member of IDA, IAACD, ISOI and ACDI. Every consultation includes an iTero Lumina 3D smile scan. A scan or simulation is not a guaranteed result.

Meet the clinic

Start before booking treatment travel

  1. Send a general enquiry with your concern, country of residence and proposed Mumbai dates. Please do not attach sensitive records to the first message.
  2. Ask the clinic what consultation format is available, including whether a video discussion can be arranged, and how to share records securely.
  3. A remote discussion is preliminary. A final diagnosis, treatment choice and cost require clinical assessment and may differ from an initial estimate.
  4. Agree on appointments and a written plan before making treatment-dependent travel commitments.

A visit plan, not a holiday deadline

Ask for the proposed stages, visits, lab time, healing and review before departure, with room for changes if your examination shows additional needs. There is no standard seven-day makeover or fixed completion promise.

Implants may involve a surgical phase, healing and later restoration. Aligners need continuing monitoring and may need further adjustments, so they should not be treated as a one-trip procedure. Ask whether you will need to return to Mumbai and what local care is needed at home.

Travel and recovery advice must fit your treatment and health. Sightseeing is not a substitute for recovery, and no general flight-clearance date is promised.

Ask for an itemised INR estimate

Before agreeing, ask for a written estimate stating the procedure and materials, scans or investigations, lab work, temporary restorations, review visits, medication and any applicable taxes. Clarify what is excluded, deposits, cancellation/refund terms and what happens if the plan changes.

Flights, accommodation, local travel and care after returning home may add costs. Any currency conversion is an estimate that changes with exchange rates. No savings percentage or treatment fee is advertised here.

Plan the handover before starting

Agree how you will obtain treatment records and aftercare instructions in English, when reviews are needed, and how information can be shared with your home dentist with your permission.

Ask whom to contact for concerns, what happens outside clinic hours, where urgent care would be provided, and who pays for complications, repairs, extra visits or additional travel. A remote follow-up cannot replace an examination when needed. Do not assume your insurance covers planned overseas treatment or remedial work.

Travel, stay and visas

The clinic is at Shop No 1, Ground Floor, Bansri Bhuvan, 201 Sion Main Rd, next to Union Bank of India, Sion East, Mumbai 400022. Check directions and clinic hours. Journey times vary with Mumbai traffic.

Arrange travel and accommodation to fit the agreed clinical plan. Hotel reservations, airport transfers and a travel concierge are not included or promised by this page. Confirm access needs and communication requirements with the clinic before travelling.

Check your own visa and entry requirements with official authorities. The Government of India e-Visa portal sets out medical-visa requirements, including supporting documentation. Ask the appropriate authority which documents are acceptable for your situation; the clinic cannot guarantee a visa.

Questions to settle before you travel

  • Is treatment appropriate, and are there less invasive or local alternatives?
  • Who will treat me, and what credentials apply to my procedure?
  • How many visits and return trips could be needed?
  • What is the full written estimate, including exclusions?
  • How will reviews, urgent concerns and handover at home work?
