From a scan to a decision
- Talk about your concerns and have a clinical examination.
- Use the 3D scan to discuss tooth position and possible options.
- If a simulation is used, discuss its limits and the treatment steps it represents.
- Decide whether to proceed, wait or maintain what is healthy.
Visits and what follows
A scan does not commit you to treatment. The visits, risks and maintenance come from the actual procedures chosen, not the digital preview. Ask for those details separately before agreeing. A scan does not replace any other investigation your dentist considers necessary.
The scan supports a conversation
Every consultation at Dental Works includes a 3D smile scan with iTero Lumina. If you are considering Invisalign or a smile makeover, a digital simulation may help you discuss a proposed change. It is not a prediction of the finished result.
A plan still needs an examination
The scan alone does not diagnose a problem or determine the right treatment. Dr. Feril Mehta assesses your oral health, bite and preferences, then explains possible steps, limitations and alternatives.
Questions to ask
Is the digital preview a promise?
No. It is a planning aid. Your actual treatment options and result depend on a clinical examination and individual circumstances.
Do I need treatment after a scan?
No treatment is assumed. You can ask questions and decide on the next step after discussing the assessment.
This page is general information, not a diagnosis or a promise of results. Your dentist will advise after an examination.
