From assessment to retention
- Assess teeth, gums and bite, take a scan, and discuss a proposed plan and alternatives.
- If treatment is chosen, check the first aligners for fit and explain wear, cleaning and any additional steps.
- Attend progress reviews. Your dentist may adjust the plan if movements are not tracking as expected.
- Discuss retainers and continuing reviews after active treatment.
Visits and daily care
Aligner care is a course of treatment, not a single visit. Agree on review appointments before starting, particularly if you live overseas. Follow your dentist's wear and cleaning instructions; retainers help maintain alignment after treatment.
Limits and concerns to discuss
Possible tenderness, cleaning difficulties and a need for further adjustments are worth discussing. Ask what happens if an aligner is lost or does not fit. A digital preview and an estimated finish date are not guarantees.

A consultation starts with your bite
Tell us what you would like to change. We examine your oral health and bite, take a 3D scan with iTero Lumina, and discuss whether aligners are suitable. A digital simulation may help you picture a planned change; it does not predict a guaranteed outcome.
What living with aligners involves
Invisalign aligners are removable. Treatment still depends on following the dentist’s wear and care instructions and attending reviews. Ask about the routine, possible tenderness and alternatives before deciding.
Questions to ask
Is Invisalign suitable for every smile?
No. Suitability depends on your teeth, gums, bite and the movements needed. A dentist can advise after examining you.
How long will it take?
The time varies by case. Your dentist can estimate a timeline after assessment and treatment planning.
